Tips for Legislative Testimony

Introduce and sponsor legislation

Use the model language when introducing legislation. Interstate compacts are contracts between states and must be the same in order for states to enter into the compact. Do not substantially change the language. If you are drafting the bill, reach out to dentalcompact@csg.org for a Word version of the compact.

Reach out to CSG to do a bill review of the compact draft. This way, any discrepancies can be caught prior to introduction. Email dentalcompact@csg.org with questions or for a bill review.
